From April 25-27, 2024, Suite Storees had the privilege of enhancing the 2024 NFL Draft held in Detroit, Michigan, by designing and implementing Islamic Prayer Halls. This project stands as a testament to our commitment to inclusivity, cultural respect, and creating meaningful brand experiences.

Project Overview

Our client, the NFL, tasked us with integrating Islamic Prayer Halls into the event to cater to the diverse audience attending the draft. The goal was to create a serene and respectful space that aligns with Islamic traditions while seamlessly fitting into the bustling environment of the draft.

The Islamic Prayer Halls were well-received by attendees, providing a peaceful space for prayer and reflection. This project not only enhanced the overall experience of the 2024 NFL Draft but also reinforced the NFL’s reputation as an inclusive organization. Regarding the diversity aspect, it was noted, "[...] Being a part of the initiative for designing the first ever prayer halls with the intentionality of connecting local businesses, with those in the American-Arab category, as well as individuals that identify with Islamic Practices, there is now a place to go amidst all of the NFL activities and experiences, that is solely for inclusion."

Amera Fattah also remarked on the community effort, "We've had the pleasure in working with local vendors such as MMM Cleaning, Lama's Florist, and College Hunks to make this partnership with Suite Storees and LED Lion possible, to turn our ideas into actuality and to fulfill the vision for the first-ever 2024 NFL Draft Prayer Halls."

Design Concept
On the design front, she added, "There are two different prayer halls with two different designs. Each one has its own unique experience in and within itself. Inspired by Islamic Architecture, Detroit's History, and the people and populations surrounding us, our vision is to make a mosaic of our diversity and liven the experience of the prayer halls through our collaborative efforts."
